Camel racing is a popular sport in Feniz and Porto Capital.
Professional camel racing, like horse racing, is an event for betting and tourist attraction. Camels can run at speeds up to 64 km/h in short sprints and they can maintain a speed of 40 km/h for one hour. [1]

For the desert people of Feniz, fast camels could be life-saving. Thus, breeding of racing camels and the sport of camel racing is widely spread in the Grand Jumurian Desert. Today, a good racing camel is a very expensive animal (and its price the base of the Fenizic currency!). "Running a camel" is very popular with the nobility, while the crowd enjoys watching the races. [2]

In Porto Capital, camel racing is most popular in the region of the city of Oran. The sport is governed by the Oran Camel Racing League (al'Líga al'Coxída al'Kamelo al'Ouahranija).
