Overview[]
Brazhekev are a football club based in the city of Brazhekev, Guwimith who compete in the G-League. The Sharks have been a popular local team since the introduction of football to Guwimith, and were runners-up in the inaugural Guwimith Pre-Season Cup. Considered the pre-eminent footballing power in Guwimith and boasting significant crowds before the advent of the G-League, Brazhekev enjoyed a significant advantage over other clubs. However, with the new professionalism of the G-League, other teams have caught up quickly, and Brazhekev are no longer "the big shark in the small pond", as fans of rival teams proudly remind them.
Brazhekev struggled in the inaugural G-League season, finishing 5th, and missing out on the four-team semi-finals series, 2 points short of the semi-finals.
Managed by the infamous Zhorah Grigor'eva and boasting two key national team players, the holding midfielder and club captain Jermija Zarubezhanin, and the pacy striker Slavochka Ankudinov (whose goals kept the team alive in season 305/6), Brazhekev fans are hoping that good times are not too far away.
