Melanian Super Cup, also known as VRB Melanian Super Cup or simply The MCS Cup, and often abbreviated to MSC, is an Melanian rugby competition founded in 303 AP, featuring eight national sides from Melania and the Nuarmian side of Caledon.
The competition is the premier rugby competitions on Melania.
The nine teams are divided into three three-team groups (Group A-C) for round robin play. Group assignment is determined by past season performance. Group A consists of the 1st, 4th, and 7th finishing clubs in the previous year's tournament, Group B 2nd, 5th, and 8th, and Group C 3rd, 6th and 9th place teams. Each group plays a double round-robin schedule for a total of four games. Teams earn four points for a win, two points for a draw, and no points are awarded for a loss. In accordance with VRB regulations, a team may earn one bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a match, regardless of the final result. A team may also earn a bonus point for losing by seven or few points.
At the conclusion of the four-game round-robin schedule, the top finishing team in each group advances to the Finals Stage (Group D). The three teams then play a round-robin format, for a total of two games. The team finishing top in the group is declared the Melanian Super Cup champion.
