The Southern Four Nations, also known as the VRB Southern Four Nations or simply The Southern 4, and often abbreviated to S4 or S4N, is a multi-national rugby competition founded in 303 AP. The competition is contested between the national rugby sides of Djeriga, Svarthaedir, Kongren Republic, and Niokolo Koba.
The Competition[]
The four teams play a double round-robin schedule for a total of six games. Teams earn four points for a win, two points for a draw, and no points are awarded for a loss. In accordance with VRB regulations, a team may earn one bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a match, regardless of the final result. A team may also earn a bonus point for losing by seven or few points.
At the conclusion of the six-game schedule, the team finishing with the most total points (points earned from wins and draws plus bonus points awarded) is the champion and awarded the Southern Cup, signifying Southern nations rugby supremacy.
